User management

Roles
Our system allows for role-based permissions. This ensures that each user gets the right level of information they need. A user's role does not change the content of the reports. A table of all our roles and their permissions is below:
Role | Permissions |
---|---|
Viewer |
|
User |
|
Admin |
|
Owner |

Signup
If you signup with Arbify and create an organisation, you will automatically be assigned the role of Owner of your new organisation. This ensures you have full access to your organisation so you can invite users, modify user roles, purchase report credits the way you want, and start generating reports. We want you to have the freedom to get up and running as fast as you can.
Inviting Users
Once you have signed up and created your organisation, you can start inviting users straight away. When you invite a user, you can assign them one of the following roles:
-
Viewer
-
User
-
Admin
Once invited, the user will appear in your organisation's User Table and will be in a "invited" state. The invited user will receive an email invitation to join your organisation. When they login for the first time to Arbify they will become "active". Don't worry, if you make a mistake or change your mind you can always update the user's role or remove them from your organisation.
Note, you will not be able to invite a user if they are already an "active" user of another organisation. You can, however, invite an "invited" user of another organisation.
Assigning Owners
Your organisation can have multiple Owners but is required to always have at least one Owner. It is recommended to limit the number of Owners to the minimum required number for your organisation as an Owner has full access to your organisation settings, including access to billing and financial information in the Stripe Billing Portal (where subscriptions, banking details and invoices are managed).
You can make any "active" user an Owner. Note that only an Owner has the ability to promote users to the role of Owner. You can also demote users from the role of Owner as long as there is at least one other Owner. Again note that only an Owner can demote an Owner to another role.
